Cookin' Good
Arcie and Shasta Cola bring you Austin's finest cooking show, "Cookin' Good," once a week on Austin public access. For those of us who live on the other side of the country, such as myself, we are blessed to have their youtube account - Found here - which includes their fitness DVD "Toning For the Tribulations." The concept is the classic "two country girls from Texas have predicted a devastating international disaster which spirals out of control and into the end times in which women's bodies will be viewed as reproductive pods and therefore YA'LL NEED TO LOOK NICE FOR YER MAN!" Each episode of the show is very long (much longer than it needs to be or should be) and the camera man shows their tits pretty often. It's a really good show.
Genius. I love you, Shasta.

Francine Dancer
I thought it appropriate to begin this blog with a clip celebrating one of our nation's original public access treasures. Her name is Francine and her show, Francine Dancer, was an institution in the Los Angeles area.
Amazingly, she was confined to a wheelchair, and claimed to be unable to walk but could still dance. The result is a compelling library of footage that ranges from bizarre to hilarious to disturbing. A legendary figure and an astute warning for the individual determined to seek the spotlight.
